Friday 16th December 2022 is the 2nd Italian National Space Day! This day has the objective to raise awareness and inform citizens about the key role of research and innovation in the space sector and on the benefits that space activities can bring to our everyday life.
This date has a special meaning: it is the day when the first Italian satellite – San Marco 1 – was launched into space in 1964, with Italy becoming one of the countries (third in the world after the United States and the Soviet Union) overcoming the Earth’s atmosphere.
Resolvo celebrates this important day organising a virtual afternoon tea with the great female experts that are part of the Italian research team of our Horizon 2020 project SURPRISE.
Representatives from the SURPRISE coordinator IFAC and partner Saitec will tell us more about the project and share their personal experience in the space sector.
