SMAU Firenze 2014: The Regional Government of Tuscany Strategy

Intense day at Smau Firenze 2014! The Regional Government of Tuscany presented some of the results from the Regional Operational Programme Creo 2007-2013 and its strategy for 2014-2020.
President Rossi and Regional Minister Simoncini underlined the fact the Tuscany is the only region in Italy that will launch a call for R&D projects before the official launch of the 2014-2020 PO, allocating around 80million €.
The Regional Government has dedicated these resources to “dynamic” Tuscan enterprises, meaning those that in recent years have managed to be competitive and to increase earnings, employment and exports.
A recent IRPET study shows that there are over 3000 companies in Tuscan with these characteristics; small, medium and large companies, from various sectors, located across the whole region. By financing these companies, the knock on effect of increased competitiveness should be felt across the whole Tuscan economy.
