More than 100 people took part in the final event of the SERPENTE project organised in Florence on the 21st of November. Local and European politicians were involved together with technical experts focusing on energy efficiency in public buildings.
Elisabetta Meucci, Local Council of Florence, explained how project activities had an impact on local policy for energy efficiency.
Riccardo Basosi introduced energy efficiency in Horizon 2020 while Alessandro Mordini presented third generation solar cells (DSSC). Cllr Alan Coleman, Cork County Mayor, shared the experience of the Irish local authorities regarding the Covenant of Mayors and the Sustainable Energy Action Plans. Carina Tempel, City of Malmö, presented the strategy for an energy efficient and renewable city.
Elisa Milos gave an overview of the results of the INTERREG IVC programme and presented some characteristics of the future INTERREG EUROPE. Sergio Gatteschi (IT), Sharon Corcoran (IE), Athena Yiannaka (CY) and Carina Tempel (SE) participated in a round table focused on energy efficiency strategies in Europe.
Resolvo supported the Lead Partner in organising the conference and had the opportunity to present the SERPENTE project results during the event.
