In May 2024, the MICROFUTURE project had the honour of hosting Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, currently leading the government of Bangladesh. Founder of the first microcredit institution in Bangladesh in 1974, Yunus, a pioneer in the field of microfinance, shared his insights and proposed solutions to contemporary challenges such as economic recovery, social inclusion, and ecological and digital transitions. His participation in the seminar organised by the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis (FR) offered MICROFUTURE project partners a number of insights into the role of microfinance in empowering marginalised communities.
During the project meeting, Resolvo supported all project partners in selecting the good practices on topics related to microfinance and social economy, moderated the interregional exchange sessions and managed the reporting activities.
