The Innovation Week – a place for innovators, coders, hackers, makers, futurists, financers, and anyone who has a story to tell about how the future could be – will be held in Rome, from September 28, 2014 to October 5, 2014.
Experts and leaders in the world of innovation from around the world will meet during the Innovation Week, that will conclude with the second edition of the European Maker Faire, the largest fair dedicated to digital manufacturing.
The event will mainly focus on Social Innovation, Maker City, Social Democracy, Sharing Economy Open Data, Impact Bonds and Open Hardware.
In the same period, September 30, 2014 and October 1, 2014, The fifth annual Summit of the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA) will be held in Rome.
Bringing the Summit to a larger global audience outside the US is an important opportunity to bring more attention and cooperation to the key topics of open source hardware and open manufacturing.
Moreover, thanks to the collaboration with Rome’s Innovation Week, the fifth Open Hardware Summit will be an open event with no admittance fee.
