2021 marks a turning point for European Research and Innovation projects. Horizon 2020, the 8th Research and Innovation framework programme of the European Union, is leaving the stage to its successor: Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe is the most ambitious European Research and Innovation program ever, with a budget of 95.5 billion euros. It will run from 2021 to 2027, aiming to help meeting EU strategic priorities, achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and boosting the EU’s competitiveness and growth. It supports creating and strengthening excellent knowledge and technologies.
Horizon Europe builds-on three Pillars:
- Excellent Science
- Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness
- Innovative Europe
These are flanked by a horizontal action: “Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area”.
Resolvo has been (and still is) very active on Horizon 2020, both as full partner in various projects and as an expert, supporting customers in proposal preparation, financial reporting and implementation of specific technical tasks.
So, we bid farewell to Horizon 2020 and look forward to our next adventure with Horizon Europe! We are already taking our first steps in the new Programme, so more news may be coming soon…
