The CLAY project has officially begun!
The Regional Government of Umbria hosted the partners of the CLAY project in her magnificent region, to launch a 5 year cooperation to boost competitiveness and innovation in regional ceramic sectors.
The event included the first Interregional Learning Event (ILE1), two Study Visits, the project Launch Event and the first Steering Committee meeting.
Day 1 began in the historical Palazzo Monte Frumentario in the centre of Assisi, where partners and local stakeholders began exchanging on their ceramic traditions and on their potential for innovation. Partners then travelled to the ceramic city of Gualdo Tadino, where they visited Rubboli Museum and to the city of Spello, for a visit to Villa Mosaici.
For Day 2, the event began in the ceramic city of Umbertide with an exchange session to define partners’ objectives and to consolidate the project exchange methodology. Partners then visited the factory Ceramiche Rometti, a best practice in the Umbria ceramic sector, before travelling back to Assisi for the Launch Event. This public event was entitled “CLAY launch event “Revive Ceramics”. It provides local stakeholders with an overview of the project and its partners, before sharing a number of expert inputs on the theme of innovation in ceramics.
Finally, on Day 3, partners concluded their Steering Group meeting and planned the next steps for the project.
They then headed home, tired and ready for the weekend, but happy with the inspiring start to this collaboration.
Resolvo supported organisation of the event, moderated various sessions and provided necessary information on the programme regulations and management procedures. Resolvo has also been involved in developing the project exchange methodology.
Check in regularly with our project website for updates about partners and about our first exchange activities!
