The Italian Government has recently published the Italian Energy Efficiency Action Plan 2014, thus making a step forward in strengthening energy efficiency policy in the country.
The Plan, drafted by ENEA, outlines energy efficiency goals (reducing energy consumption by 20%) that Italy has planned to achieve by 2020.
The document details current tool as well as running policy measures together with new interventions and solutions able to reinforce them and contribute to the achievement of goals foreseen.
A public consultation preceded the plan’s approval, in order to gather comments and suggestions before the elaboration of the final version.
