The Tuscan Regional Council has approved the operational document for implementation of guidelines for the reorganisation of the regional system for technology transfer, in particular, the criteria for the definition and establishment of Technological Districts was clarified, the Districts are 12: fashion, interior design, marble and ornamental stones, life sciences, new materials, automotive and mechanical engineering, marine and port facilities, rail technology, energy and green economy, Fortis ( photonics, optoelectronics, robotics), smart city, cultural tourism, pulp and paper.
The Districts are divided into three groups, depending on the number of enterprises, service centers and research centers they contain.
The region will provide Districts’ operators with approximately € 5 million .
